Friday, January 1st, 1982: Chicago-Cleveland Swap: Wilcox for Monge
Officials for the Chicago Cubs confirmed that they have traded 31-year old starting pitcher Milt Wilcox to the Cleveland Indians. In return, the Cubs will receive 30-year old reliever Sid Monge.

His lifetime totals give Wilcox 70 victories and 82 defeats with a 4.32 ERA.

In his career Monge has collected 35 victories and 31 defeats along with 41 saves. He has a lifetime 3.36 ERA and has struck out 376 in 604.2 innings.
