Monday, July 19th, 1982: International League Names #1 Player
Ramon Aviles stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the International League Player of the Week honors.

The Scranton-Wilkes Barre second baseman ripped opposing pitchers for 12 hits in 26 at-bats and 2 home runs. He put together a sizzling .462 batting average as he knocked in 10 runs and scored 5 times.

This year Aviles is batting .364 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. In 11 games he has scored 6 times.
